ABOUT WHOLE GRAINS

Whole Grains are the grains from cereals and pseudocereals that contains the endosperm, germ, and bran. In contrast to refined grains, which retain only the endosperm. They are used in many ways from breads, pasta and breakfast cereals to use in the preparation of various baked goods and food production.

Whole grains are our main source of healthy carbohydrates and packed with nutrients including protein, fiber, B vitamins, antioxidants, and trace minerals (iron, zinc, copper, and magnesium). A diet rich in whole grains has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and some forms of cancer.
